The Critter Post

Ever since we started this journey I have been keeping track of the critters (animals, reptiles, birds and fish...and the occasional insect) that I have seen.  While this is not a complete list (sometimes I don't get a picture of the critter so I can't add it to the list), it is representative of the types of critters we are seeing.

DISCLAIMER:  I am not a professional birder (or zoologist) and my attempts at identifying critters are based on available resources (various field guides).  If I have misnamed a critter I definitely appreciate comments correctly identifying a specific species.  Also, sometimes it helps to click on the picture as it should open into a new window in a larger size.

That said, enjoy...

  1. Those Mangrove Swallows just make me smile. I love my Barn Swallows and these are their 'black tie' cousins
